For each product category we've put together a handy buyer's guide on things to look for when buying a car security product.
In addition, consider some of these overall tips:
1. Firstly, if you have not bought your car yet, make sure to check
its history
to ensure it hasn't been reported as stolen or if there is outstanding financing
on it (you could be liable for this)
2. Again, if you haven't bought your car, its probably best to see
what security features are currently on your car
3. Check with your insurance company to see if/what insurance discounts are available for different security products
4. Get your security product fitted by an approved installer, as this may also affect whether you get an insurance discount.
5. See what other car owner's are saying about various company's and products in our ratings and reviews section and the CarSecurityUK.com forum
